End of Philomel The Naval Department in Wellington h'as agreed to accept the offer made by the Strongman Shipping Company, which recently purchased ' the H.M.S. After the parade of entrants in the bathing beauty contest a mannequin, introduced as "Miss Paris," wallced around the stage in a two-piece blue costume, which was greeted with warm applause from the crowd of several thousands. Shirred from- the eentre on to the h-ips, the shorts of the costume were considerably briefer than any at present seen on New Zealand beaches. The brassiere was supported by a single shoulder strap.
