BREAD DELIVERIES IN BRISBANE
BEISBANE Housewives in Brisbane and otlier Qiueensland cities will shortly have ■the choice of three bakers. The Minister for Labour, Mr. Gair, said this in the State Parliament when he introduced a bill to compel bakers to deliver bread within a radius of three rniles of their bakehouses. This legislation to enforce bread deliveries could be accepted as a warning to other ti'aders to restore pre-war services to the public, the Minister said. "Traders are not doing the fair and right thing by the public," Mr. Gair added. "They are continuing a war-jtime set of conditions that is unjust and lunfair to the purchasing' public."
