GOLD STOLEN FROM PERTH TRAIN
PERTH, Deeember 28. Gold worth £6000 disappeared from a train travelling between Meekatharra and Perth on Christmas Eve. Meekatharra, 4'DO miles from Perth, is on the Murchison goldfield. The gold, which weighed !600 ounces, had been sent by ordinary mail from Meekatharra to the Royal Mint at Perth.
