Competitors were present from Te Puke, Morrinsville, Onehunga, Aucki land, Old Grammarians (Auckland), Hamilton, and Rotorua Amateur i Athletic Clubs. j Scottish selections were given by ' i the Rotorua Caledonian Pipe band, i ! which also played the Pirates girls' marching team from the Post Office, via Tutanekai Street, to- the ground, i t where several evolutions were exei i cuted with precision and elan. i Rain threatened to spoil the pro- : grammo in the early afternoon, but the clouds soon passed over, and the
