Complaints By Greece To Be Investigated
NEW YORK, Dec. 19. A United States delegate, Mr. Herschel Johnson, moved in the Security Council to send a commission of seven to the. Ilalkans to investigate the Greek charges against neighbour States and their eounter-charges, to which the Council had been listening throughout several stttings. The Greeks have accused Albania, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia of fomenting war along the Greek borders and have aslted the Council for an investi-g-ation 011 the spot. Those States, however, say the strife results from the actions of the Tsaldaris regime in Greece. Sir Alexander Cadogan ( Britain 1, supporting 'Mr. Johnsc-n, said the Balkan friction had started a smould-,-iing fire which might burst into fiame at any moment. V ^ * prise the Big Five plus Poland# and Brazil. Mr. Hasluck (Australia) and Mr. Ilenrique Gomex (Brazil) supported Mr. Johnson's motion, which proposed that the commission sho-uld go to the Balkans not later than January 15.
