FRENCH CABINET IS FORMED BY M. BLUM
PARIS, Deeember 17. _M- Bluixx has formed a Cabinet with himself as Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs, M. Le Trouer as Minister of National Defencp, M. Edouard Depreux as Minister of the Iiiterior, and M. Piex:x*e Lapie as Un.der-Secretary for Foreign Affairs. In announcing the Cabinet, M. Bluni said he had formed a Government at all costs befause eontin-uation of the erisis would have heexx fraught with peril for the republicaxr institutiops. The constitutional term of "the Governxnent ended in five weeks, hut he hoped to be able to do something to instil fresh ardour into the nation. The Cabiixet held its fix*st meeting to draw up a Government declaration. 'Eaxdier M. Blunx issued a statement to the party leaders saying: "Stop your fighting between parties and enter the Government on xxxy teiuxxs." Otherwise he would anixounee a Socialist Cabinet this evening.
