JAPANESE TO DEMAND BIGGER RICE RATION
LONDON, Dec. 17. • Thousands of Japanese will take part in a demonstration in Tokio today. Many arrived in lorries from outlying parts of the capital to join others who hdd walked to the Imperial Palace. Tbe demonstrators plan to march in two columns from the Palaee to* the Prime Minister's house and to the Diet (Japanese Parliament) to present their demands for bigger rations of rice, the establishment of a minimum wage system and the adoption of an industrial reeonstruction progranime. The demonstration is due to go on all day.
