TERRORISTS MAKE RAID ON ARAB VILLAGE
LONDON, December 12. Thirty Jews, believed to be Haiganah members, raided the Arab village of Salmeh near Jaffa, wound^d the headman, abducted his son and cousin, and later "court-martialled them for alleged theft of arms from a secret Jewish cache, reports Reuter's Jerusalem correspondent. The Jews used tommy-guns and threw grenades when the villagers resistecl the abduction. The Jews, after the "court-martial" released the Arabs and told(them that the whole village would be punished if the arms were' not returned. An Arab spokesman connnenting on the incident, vsaid: "The Jews are playing- with fire."
