(To the Elditor) Bir, — As one who has very recently made the run from Waikaremoana to your town, I should like to reanark on the danger of the road in plaees — land there are mein]y of them — . when skir.ting the lake, and even for a considenaible distance a/fter. One place in particular (where a board j stands, marked "Dangerous") appear- ! ed to me so dangerous that one wondered what would happen if two cars were suddenly to meet here. It is at a Gorner with a right angle turn with not too much room even for one car to pass. The immediate approach to 'this corner, comdng from the lake, is by a steep decline. There is a drop of 400 feet sheer into the lake bej neath. Do you not think, sir, that the Government should take the matter in hand before some ghastly catastrophe occurs, and prohifoit cars from leaving at each end on the sam;e day ? Cars could run every other day from Rotorua; the same applying to cars leavine Waikaremoana. — I am, etc.,
