SHOT IN COURT

MAN FIRES AT AND WOUNDS WOMAN BEFORE CASE
London, Nov. 25. An extraordinary scene occurred in the crowded waiting-room of the South-West London . Police Court, when a revolver shofc rang out, and a woman earrying a baby in her arms dropped to the floor with a wound in her chest. The injured woman, Miss Ida Isaac, aged 27, who lives with her parents in Wadhurst Road, Battersea, S.W., was waiting to give evidence as complainant in an affiliation cass, and her mother was with her. Miss Isaac was taken -to Battersea General Hosptal, where she was stated to be in a serious' condition.
"Forgot M'y Business" Later a man who gaVe the name of George Kyprianou, of Coral Street. Lower Marsh, Lambeth, S'.E., appeared in court, charged with attempting to murder Miss Isaac hy shooting her. He was remanded. Detective-Inspector Worth stated that when informed of the charge, Kyprianou asked:. "Is she dead?" He was told that she was still alive. Then Kyprianou said: "It is her fault, but I know I did wrong. She took me away from my business, my wife, and three children. I forgot my business and could not sleep. 'it is better that I am finished. All this is brought about beeause she aslced me for £10."
