(Rec. Dec. 28.) Paris, Dec. 27. The death roll in the Lagny train disaster is 203. The release of the driver and fireman followed proof that the signals had not acted, detonators had not exploded, and an autcmatic warning whistle had not sounded. There is widespread clamiour for the speedy scrappinig; of all wooden carriages, the cos-t of which will run into millions of pounds.
