RESCUED RUM-RUNNERS TURN UPON THEIR RESCUERS

Rec. Dec. 27. London, Dec. 26. The Tallina, a rum-runner carrying 150 gallons of liquor, ignored the Estonian Customs guardship's order to stop. The latter fired and holed the rumrunner, which began to sink. The guardship rescued the crew of 14, who overpowered their rescuers, lashed them to the sinking ship and then escaped. Another Government ship liberated the Customs crew an hour later.
