The pas.sengers in the last Strasiburg coach confirm the statement that the detonators exploded only when their carriages passed. ■On the contrary, the guard of the Nancy train on descending the track I just before the crash, contends that I }ie saw the signals at "danger," while I the gatekeeper says he heard a warn- [ ing whistle. I In view of the conflict a test enI gine traversed the line and establishjed the fac't that the signals were I eIqw to act owing to frost.
