• (Rec. Dec. 23) Cairo, Dec. 22. A 900 miles desert air race, the most gmuelling test in the international air derby was won by Madame Daubree, whose'plane was piloted by a Frenchman. ^.There were 19 British competitors of whom only five started, the others being delayed by stormy weather.
