The explosions were caused 'by cartridges bursting as the fire reached them. * Left without a stitch of plothing or any personal property, the solitary man was compelled to walk five miles to the nearest camp and there borrow■ed sufficient attire to see him to GlPnorchie. Public sympathy with the two men in their misfortnne is shown by generotis gifts of groceries and money with which to r'eplace their property.
