Rec. Dec. 17, 5.5 p.m. • London, Dec. 16. Hundreds of homes were imperilled when gales swept the coasts and unusually heavy tides pounded the sliores bring'ing down the cliffs in many places. Gardens were destroyed at Lowestoft and seawalls were badly damaged at Hythe and St. Margaret's Bay.
