a packed court BRIEF HEARING CONCLUDES . WITH A REMAND TO TUESDAY NEXT MUCH EVIDENCE ElXPECTED

Auckland, Wednesday Public interest in ithe charge of murder against William Alfred Bayly, a Ruawaro farmer, aged 28, was again shown this morning when tbe Police Court was crowded, and many who could not get into the Court waited outside. In less than a minute Bayly ha appeared in the dock and had heen remanded by Mr. "F. K. Hunt, S.M., until next Tuesday. The name of Bayly was the first called hy the clerk of the court, who read the charge that accuSed, on or about October 15, at Ruawaro, murdered Christohle Lakey. "I appear for accused," said Mr. E. Northcroft. Mr. " V. R. Meredith: I ask for a remand until next Tuesday— 4that will be the 19th. Mr. Hunt: Yes. Remanded until the 19th. Bayly then left the dock. " Although it was not mentioned in Court, it is under s/tood that the hearing of the evidence against Bayly will he started next Tuesday. Mr. |W{yvern Wilson, S.M., will hear the case, which is expected to last several days.
