CLOUD-BURSTS AND FIREBALLS CAUSE DAMAGE IN QUEENSLAND A YOUTH DROWNED

Brisbane, Dec. 12. During a severe storm a fireball burst near two gardeners at Bishopsbourne. One of tbe men lost his siglit momentarily, and was so badly shalcen that he was unable to-move. The other man was chopping wood, and the axe went spinning from his hands. A cloudburst occurred in the town of Stone's Corner, low-lying streets being submerged and gardens and fences washed away. Percival Blatchford, aged 16 years, was drowned while attempting to swim a fiooded creek.
