Lon'd'on, Dec. 11. The News Chronicle says that the Oxford colleges are calling for measures to force the public to buy English beef, pointing out that it will be forced'to buy it in the absence of an alternative. The paper adds. "The colleges discreetly leave the alternative nameless." The Daily Mail also discussing the communication of the Oxford bursars, says, "Curtailment of supplies of beef involve difficulties with certain Dominions and the Argentine, but action must be taken as quickly as possible."
