To the order of a Chinaman returning t(o his own land last August, Mr. C. Fannin a Taihape beekeeper, caged two hives of bees for transporb to China.. Mr. Fannin has now received word. baek that the 'bees .were * suceessfully landed the . voyag.e _ o-ver-seas not h'aving harmed them. in any /wiay. The only . attention necessaryWas oceasipnal spraying with water during excessively .hot -weather. Mr. Fannin is now inquiring into the prospects otf a qneen bee trade with China-. It is worthy -of >note that this particular member ■of-.-the1 hive is veferred to by the Oriental as' the king bee. \
