C. G. Scrimgeour, may be co-ntinued. "W|e- are forced into a position," says the letter, "when the 'Friends of tbe Road' have to show that they will not lightly be pushed aside, and that by force of numbers and by their very pertinlacity they inuist ignore the people who1 deem that they can tamper with' the h'earts of men and women." • U is stated that the "Friendly Road" mova'ment has done more to brighten the lives of its adherents than dnything in the. past decade, and that it embraces Jews, Roman Cathlolics, Presbyterians and all other creeds. f A total of 12,000 letters has heen received from persons testifying to gfeat benefits they have received. The promise is made that if a license is secured there will be_ no sponsored programmes or advertising in the broadcasts.
