GERMAN COMMUNIQUE SAYS UNARMED MEN ATTACKED NOT OVER FRONTIER

Berlin? Nov. 27. A communique announcing the result of the inquiry into the shooting of the soldier Schumacher says that twenty-three unarmed soldiers were descending the mountain on the German side. The Austrian Heimwehr fired at Schumacher who was struck when sixteen yards from the frontier on German soil. Bloodstains and footmarks in the snow are proof thereof. The communique adds that the Heimwehr were not hunting previously in the neighbourhood and were hot accmpanied by regular gendarmerie. When Schumacher was borne off they cried, "Down Hitlerism! Hail Dolfuss !" Nuremberg, Nov. 27. An assemblage of 10,000 attended Schumacher's funeral. Herr Hitler delivered the funeral oration and a firing party fired a volley over the grave.
