Sj .The Speeeh from the Throne said » that the proposed changes in the ■ country's governmental structure m held out the possibility of freedom B from imprecedented difficulties. ff The Premier, Hon. F. S. Allardyce, M declared the suspension of the ■ constitution and its snbstitution by ■ a commission to be in the best interB ests of the country. There was no B debate on the proposals, the Legislam ture adjourning until to-morrow, ■ when the debate will begin. An ■ amendment calling for a week's ad- ■ journment proposed from the Opposi- ■ tion benches of the Lower House by ■ Mr. F. G. Bradley, was defeated.
