HALIBUT RICH IN VITAMIN A. The halibut has ousted the cod as tfie most useful fish to the medical world, the British pharmaceutical conference held in London recently was told. Jn a paper on the analytical ciassificatlon of fish liver oils, Mr. Norman Evers and Mr. Wilfred Smith said that, while codliver oil was the material commonly ' associated with vitamin A, the oil of the halibut was much ricber in this vital substance. The livers of certain oth'er fish, such as turhot, shark, and dogfish, also contained larger quantities than cod livers, the scientists reported.
