TOUR OF AUSTRALASIA AND FAR EAST. EXHIBITION BOUTS POSSIBLE. San Francisco, October 20. A1 Richardson, representing Australian interests, states he has a contract with Morris Cain, business manager for Jack Dempsey, that will take the former heavyweight champion to Australia, to aet as refei-ee in some topnotch events, and also possibly to appear in ;a few exhibition hoxing bouts. Dempsey, as is known, is laying his plans for a world toxir, which will include not only Australia, but New Zealand, Manaia, Japan and Europe. Negotiations are now going on with the Japanese promoters but nothing 1 definite has been settled. Just who Dempsey plans to take with him, is not known, but from hints coming out of the Max BaerHoffman camp, it may he that the heavyweight title contendei*, if nothing in the way of championship battle 1-ooms for the immediate future, will make the Europeans and Far Eiastern tour with Dempsey. The big boxing arena in Sydney, Australia, is now controlled by a 'bunch of sportsmen, who are said to have plenty of backing. They have heen bidding fqr outstanding American attracti'ons, Gorilla Jones, Geo. Monley, and others of the Suey Wfelsh ' stable, are already signed for a trip to Australia, Tod Moi*gan is there, and others are planning to go.
