LICENSE OVERLOOKED
GRANTED BY AUTHORITY SUBJECT TO A CONDITION MILL CARTAGE ONLY An application which had been overlooked in connection with the licensing of a sub-contractor of Wilson's Timber Mills, was granted by No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority yesterday when the company applied for an additional vehicle license to include a lorry operated by W. Hoskins. Mr. M. H. Hampson for the applicants said that it had been thought that the company's license would include that of Hoskins, but this had , not been the ca,se. Hloskins would have been entitled to an automatic license if the application had been 'lodged in time. W. Hoskins stated that the vehicle had been operated by him since May, 1930 in coiijunction with Wilson's Timber Mills, and that if his application had been made in time he would have been entitled to an automatic license over the Rotorua and Whakatane areas. Mr. H. Langguth (Rotonua-Taup© Freight Company) claimed that Hoskins had not operated continuously during the period stated in the Rotorua district. He asked that the license be restricted to Hoskins' contraet with Wlilson's Timber Mills. In granting the applications of the company for a five-vehicle license for six trucks, including that >of Hoskins, the authority subjected the . license to the condition asked for by Langguth.
