DAILY 3ERVIGE TO BE RUN BETWEEN TE WHAITI AND ROTORUA NEW REPOROA ROUIE - Two applications n resp et to passenger services to Tc WTuuti and Reporoa were granted at a sitting of No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority in the Rotorua Courthouse yesterday. In an application for a continuous service license over a route- from Reporoa .and Rotorua, Mr. Rohert W. Dunbar (Mr. E. Roe) said that the proposed service would not conflict with any existing service and that it was not his desire to carry anything except passengers and small parcels. \ No objection was raised to the application and the authority granted the license subject to a schedule of fares being submitted artd a certificate of fitness being secured for the • vehicle to be operated. In the second application, the Rotorua Bus Company (Mr. J. D. Davys) applied for an alteration of its license on the Te Wlhaiti route to provide for a daily service instead of thr-. e days a week as at present. Mr. Davys said that it had been I found that there was traffic offering for a daily trip and the company desired to give a more convenient service to the residents of the district. It was desired that the altored ser- , vice shouid' .operate from next Mon- 1 day. The application- was granted to ! over si.v days a week.
