Acbilles has established a ivorld's speed record for a warsbip rf her class, covering the 1100 nautical miles from Gibraltar to Portland in 39 hours, equivalent to 29knots per hour. The Achilles proved faster than the dennan liner Bremen, the holder of the Atlantic hlue rihand.
