WOMAN BATHER REPORTED MISSING IN THE SOUTH

Christchurch, Sunday. Anxiety is felt for the safety of Mrs. Rosa Boyle, who is thought to have been drowned in the WAiau River. She is the wife of Alistair Patrick Boyle ,of Pleasant Point, South Canterbury. Mr. and Mrs. Boyle had been staying at Hanmer Springs and left on Friday to return to South Canterbury and Mrs. Boyle, it is reported, bathed in the Waiau River on the way. Yesterday and to-day at Culverden a search was conducted but no news has so far been obtained. Mrs. Boyle is aged 26 and is a daughter of Mr. Howard Tripp, of Timaru. •
