Bhe girl complained 6f severe pains. ■ Yhe doctor placed her on an operKing table and began administering Biloroform in order to ease her pain Biid facilitate examination. The Bfeughter-in-law finally lost conseiousHLs and after 25 minutes the docHr tried to revive her. K Realising that the girl was losing Bjround, the doctor became panicI "Go Ahead and Confess" m She said: "All the events of my Kfe flashed through my mind and I Bhought of a pistol in an adjoining ■ °Fearful of blame for killing the ■Lirl with an anaesthetic she said she ■pbtained the revolver and fired a shot Kn tlie shoulder blade through the wirl's heart. ■f The polico say the confession was ■so worded as to indicate the doctor ■wished the slaying to appear as a ■merciful killing, but they declare that Bnew evidence indicates the girl was ■chloroformed after the shot. ■ Another son, who is away from ■home, telegraphed to his mother: ■"Eeep up the fight like the brave sol■dier you always have been. God ■ knows you did not do this." 1 Before her confession Earle, con- ■ fronted with his mother, wept and hid his face on her shoulder. He cried: "Good sakes, mother; If you did this, because of love between us, go ahead and confess." A cable message yesterday stated: «Upon the arrest of Earle Wynekop 1(27) and his mother, Dr. Alice Wynekop (62) to-day, the death of Rheta f (23) the young man's wife and a j talented violinist (who was found j early in the evening two days ago I with a bullet in her heart and nak- ; ed, save for a blanket wrapped about her on h- r mother-in-law's operating table), promises to develop into the pvost bizarre murder this city has known for many years." It was injsinuated that a number of murders ■ had been undertaken for the sake of jnsurances.
