Wellington, Wednesday The earthquake was recorded on all long-distance seismographs at the Dominion Observatory at Kelburn. The records began at 11.41 a.m. yesterday, and lasted ahout two and a-half hours. The recorded waves are of considerable amplitude, so the earthquake was obviously a very hig one.
