Small Farm Settlement
Work is progressing in dividmg and preparing for closer settlement the Galatea Estate. The area, comprising 20,0,00 acres, was acquired by the Government after having been utilised privately as a sheep station for 50 years, and it is hoped to place 200 settlers on the hlock. The Government hag called tenders for the erection of 10 cottages and the first of ihe sections, . numbering about 20? will b'e opened in Fehruary or March.
