DUNEDIN APPROVAL
Dunedin, Thursday. Referring to the closing of the Auckland Training College, Mr. Wallace, chairman of the Education Board, said the Minister had done the right thing, and should now consider placing teachers in training under University Colleges. Already two such schemes had been propounded. "A wicked waste of money," was Mr. Wallace's comment on the use of the staff at Christchurch College. He presumed that the same use would be made of the Auckland College staff.
