WHEAT PRODUCTION
Santiago, November 15. The Government has; ordered the police to investigate, th© discrepancy 'between1 the wheat production estimate by th'e Directorate of Statistics and the Chilian Export Board. The former predicted a surplus of some 2,290,000 hushels, while. the board insists that imports are, necesissary for •• domestie requireminets. Farmers have lost heavily .through speculation on the directorate's esifcimates.
