TRANSFORMING YOUR FROCK
Transformations for day wear arp interesting. Never have women been so abundantly supplied with ideas in this realm. Marvellously practical they are, with last year's dresses in mind. And the moi'e changes you can ring, the better. Collars, berthas, holeros, collarettes, gillets — almost anything goes. Pique, crepe, and velvet are used, .and white will vie with contrasting colours, which gain in favour every day. Ch'ange your huttons to white or coloured ones. Change your belts, toO, to white, or colours ito matcb the buttons. Bright red and green are good. Or put black ones on your bright dresses. But keep most of the interest at the top. As to our- evening dresses, we cap change them and transform them also. Our little boleros are one idea, our collarettes is another. Then th'ere lare guimpes, berthas that tie at the hack, sets of sleeves that tack in and come out again, different coloured sashes in chiffon or muslin tied to one side and falling to, th.e hem of the skirt. If you have % b-Lek dress, put a bit of colour qn it, have a different colour every evening, -The dress stays unch'anged, but you look different.
