SAD FAMILY REUNION

Auckland, Wednesday A tragedy attended a family reunion to-night to- celebrate- the 72nd birthday of- Mrs. Emily Hambley Pearce, of Dominion Road, Mrs Pearce had gone upstairs to get a neW- hat -which she had' received today and which she wished to show one of her sons who was present. Descending the stairs again she missed her- footing and fell heavily, f racturing her skulj. She was rendered unconscious hy the fail and died a few minutes later. 1 ■
