Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual monthly stock sale at the Opotiki yards on November 2, when a small yarding of store pigs and fat sheep and a full yarding of all classes of cattle came forward. The pigs and sheep were in keen demand, the cattle generally selling at late rates. Prices were: — • Fat woolly ewes to, 16s 3d; fat woolly hoggets, mostly ewes, to 19s 6d; mixed sex woolly hoggets, to 17s 9d; medium weight fat bullocks, to £5 5s; heavy fat cows, to £3 11s; lighter, £2 12s to £2 15s; fat Jersey cows, £1 7s to £1 18s; light fat Jersey cows, £1 to £1 6s; forward mixed coloured bullocks, to £3 14s; store bullocks, mixed colours, to £3; mixed coloured 18-month to 2-year steers, 30s; boner cows, 15s to 23s; aged and poor, 7s 6d to 12s 6d; yearling Jersey heifers, £1 12s to £2 2s 6d; smaller mixed coloured yearling heifers, 17s 6d to £1 6s; sound 3-year Jersey bulls, £5 10s to £6 2s 6d; yearling Jersey bulls, £3 10s to £5; potter bulls, £1 7s to £1 15s; springing dairy cows, best, to £4; others, £2 to £3 5s; best springing heifers to £4 17s 6d; springing Shorthorn and Holstein heifers, £3 to £3 5s; large store pigs, to 31s 5d; good weaners, to 15s 8d; small weaners, 11s 8d.
