magistrate notes some "interesting names" in list

Christchurch, Monday. Betting material which proved, said the police, that accused was a rnember of the Bookmakers' Association, was produced in court this morning, when Charles Frederick Fearon (30) was charged with using a. house in Beckenham Avenue as a common gaming, house. He pleadedr guilty, and was fined £100 by the Magistrate, Mr. Mosley. The police stated that acpuspd had been convieted and fined a similar amount seven years ago. The magistrate remarked, after Ipoking at the list ameng the betting material preduced: "There are pjie or two interesting n)ames' in $his. Very interesting." The chief deteetive: "Yes? I 110ticed that."
