"Englishmen and Australians seem less depressed by the depression than New Zealanders," said Mr. C. F. Cotter, on his return from a tour abroad, reports the Press. "They have not £got right down to it' in the same way and they seem to have more eonfidence and optimism in working to make thiiigs better. New Zealand is depress.ed hy the outlook t of , the people on their troubles. Australia is busy and confident, and Britain is enjoying mueh brighter times— factories are busy, and the people are getting back to employment."
