Rec. 7 p.m. London, Oct. 30. How the totalisator has gripped1 Britain is shown by the fact that the Racecourse Betting Control Board's turnover for the year has already passed £4,000,000, thus ensuring a record year. It is calculated that fifteen to twenty million totalisator bets have already been handled in 1933.
