ATTACK IN COURT

BOTTLE THROWN AT WITNESS ■ Mr. Harry Cane, a relieving officer was attacked at the Bexhill (Eng;land) Police Court recently, by a man against whom he was giving evidence on a charge of assault. The accused, ■ Alfred Davey, flung his cap at Mr. Cane, then rushed across the court, 'seized a water bottle on the solicitor.s' table and hurled it at the receiving officer. Mr. Cane Duclced and the bottle crashed against the wall. Davey was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for the attack the original case being adjourned.
