RIFLE SHOOTING

RANGITAIKI CLUB SHOOT FOR W. MOORE'S TROPHY The Rangitaiki Rifle Club fired a competition last Saturday for W. Moore's trophy, conditions being 10 shots at 300 yards. A westerly gale and changeable light made shooting very difficult. W. Moore headed the list with 45 points from scratch, but being the donor of the trophy, was not eligible to compete for it. The trophy, therefore, went to J. Penny who made the same score including handicap. Following are the scores: — W. Moore (scr), 45; J. Penny (4), 45; R. Wilson (scr), 43; E. Morey, (scr), 43; Mrs. W. Moore, (1), 43; C. Penny (3), 41; I. Symons (10), 41; A. Symons (10), 38.
