AN EIGHT-TON LEDGE FALLS UPON A TRAIN

New York, Oct. 24 A message from MacKeesport (Penn sylvania) states that three men were killed and nine injured in a slate fall at the Hubbard Mine of the MlacKeesport Coal and Coke Company. - An eight-ton ledge of slate crashed on :a train of cars, which was carrying: miners to work. About forty other men leaped from the cars, escaping injury.
