CHECKING CHEAP IMPORTS
(Rec. 9 p.m.) Washington, Oct. 24 Machinery to control imports which might be endangering codified United States industries was given to the N.R.A. by Mr. Roosevelt in an executive order formally authorising the recovery unit to investigate complaints against cheap foreign exports, embargoes, quotas and higher tariffs.
