MAJESTIC THEATRE
TO-DAY AND TO-NIGHT. "Just Mjy Luck" tells the story of a music teacher with whom Fate had ■always been scurvy. Until he reached the age of 35 he had bowed. to what appeared to be the inevitable. As a inusic teacher he was more or less of a success, but his pupil believed that there was more in him than the difiident surfa.ce revealed, and did her best t0 encourage him. Suddenly he lost his job and bum-ped against a man 1 who -had always been successful be-cau-se he believed in himself and so •infected others with his enthusiasm thait they accepted him and- the ability he elaimed to possess at his own valuation. The music teacher absorbed the les-s-on to such good effect that his diffidence disappeared as he replaced his somjbre garb with the shining outfit of ia hrilliant mian, and at once he "snaffled" a first-rate position at two thousand a year and 5 per cent. commdssion. I The intricacies of the story provide Ralph Lynn with characteristic situa-ti-o-ns, and Jack Raymond has directed the pieture with such an imderstanding that the notable success achieved by actor and director , in "Mischief" -will be altoigiether outshone ■in "Just M|y Luck." ' Winifred Shotter is at her very best in the pieture, while Davy B-urn-aby, in his first B-ritish and Dominion-s production, is said to score heatvily. Vera Pearce plays a pro-minent part with him.
