BRITISH PRIME MINISTER SAYS FRIENDLINESS ESSENTIAL THE LAST WORD
-By Telegraph — Copyright) .
London, October 23 Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, speaking at Crawley, deelared that Britain could look Germany in the face without apology. It was useless to attempt to live in friendliness with other countries without studying a neighbour's susceptibilities. Europe must develop neigbbourliness. Germany never would have found great ebstacles to the recognition of equality if she had been willing to do this. Pepresentatives of the Five Power Conference were certain that Germany would contribute to the sense of seeurity to the nations who were about to agree to disarmament. Britain would still try to secure an agreed scheme. Ile would like to ask Germany bad she said the last word and given Europe a chance to say to her, "Alone what can you do?"
