FATAL EGG SHELL

LODGED IN CHILD'S THROAT. The death of a nine-months-pld child from injuries caused by a piece of eggShell which lodged in the larynx, was inquired into by the Liverpooo (England) deputy-coroner recently. The mother sad the child died in hospital after an operation. She had sometimes fed the child with pieces of bread dipped in egg. Dr. R. T. Chadwick, pathologist, said that a,n X-ray examination revealed a flake-like foreign body in the larynx. The eoroner returned a verdict that death was due to asphyx'ia, caused by ia piece of eggshell.
