"FAIRYLAND BAZAAR"
St. John's Presbyterian Hall presenited lai veritable fairyland complete with dainty fairies for the annual bazaar, which was held by members of St. John's Ladies' Guild last Tuiesday afternoon. Charming decorations of greenery, coloured streamers and blossomed trellis created a fairy hower in which tiny partitioned sta'lls, laden with atitractive wiares, invited the visitors to "fairyland" to- coime and buy. The "wishing well," which barred the entrance intrigued the 5ma.ll people, whO' found to their great delight that the well could also produce mysterious little -packages for each' one who stopped to wish there.
And then, of course, the fairyland "wasn't uninhabited, for indeed it housed some very dainty little winged people who most assuredly must have heen the daffodil fairies judging from the sunny hue of their costumes. In a few words, the minister, the Rev. J. C. Young, opened the hazaar, and congratulated the ladies upon th'e picturesque nature of their display, -wishing them every sucoess in their venture. In charge of the various stalls were: Afternoon tea, Mrs. Russell Gardner, Mrs. W. ' Simpson, Mrs. Bullin, Mrs. Hdtchon and Biihle Class istudehts; fancy-work, Mrs, Greenfield, Mrs. Angus and Mrs. W. Jones; plain needlework, Mrs. J. Gainsford, Mrs. J. Locke, Mrs. M. Dannefaerd; flowers, Mrs. Louden, Miss Robertson; sweets, Mrs. E. Sherman, Mrs, A. Millar and Miss Morrison; cakes, Mrs. T. Lindsay, Mrs. W. A. M-cLean, Mi-s. Thompison. stationery, Miss L. Bayley; jumble stall Mrs. Carrington. In the evening, an entertainm,ent was given hy members of the Sunday school classes.
