The action 9 hrought to. isecure reimhursement9 £1, the amount of the damage d(9 Luckily the action oo.mplaanied of 9 been wdtnessed by Mr. F. Park,9 sistant engineer, Puhlac Works fl partment, with the result that 9 th'er damage had been avoided. 9 Hohapu Te Raki stated that 9 •sledge had been used on the road9 (two. girls without his authority, 9 though' it was owned hy him and'9 admitted liability for the damage;9 The charge against William 1\9 field was of a similar nature he9 disc 'harrows driven over the road 9 ing the eause of the damage. He9 ladmitted liability, although his 9 had driven the harrow. 9 The Magistrate, Mr. S. L. Pa9 son, decided tto dismiss the eharge9 both cases under Section 92 of 9 Act on paymient of costs and 9 amount of damage to the roads. 9
