The quality of the butters favourably impressed the experts. Their general excellence was shown by the fact .that the lowest points awarded for unsalted were 88 and f'or salted 90. In th'e cheese section Kelso Cooperative Company, New Zealand, was first; Downs (Lilyvale), 2; Awarua Co-operative, Winton (New Zealand) 3; Fairfax Oo-operative (Otautau, New Zealand), reserve; Downs (Wyreema), Waianiwa Co-operative (New Zealand) were highly commended; Wright's Bush Co-operative (New Zealand) and Lowgarth Co-operative (New Zealand) were commended.
